  • HOW TO START A NEW TOPIC ( Concert )

      1) go to Forum "1. going to concert"

      2) click "New Topic" ( you are being redirected to an overview of concerts for the next 14 days )

      3) select the MONTH the concert takes place

      4) select the DAY the concert takes place ( you'll get an overview of all the concerts of that day )

      5) check whether the concert you want to add doesn't already exist, then click at the right bottom of the page on "this concert takes place this day only" or hit "2 / 3 / 4 " when the concert lasts more then one day.

      6) at this point, you can simply start your topic the way you are used to, and the date format is already suggested in the topic title.

      7) extra rules for the topic title :
      • Please use an "@" to seperate "what" and "where".
      • if the gig takes place outside Belgium, add a tag near the end of the topic title :
          [NL] -> Netherlands
          [FR] -> France
          [DE] -> Germany
          [US] -> U.S.A
          ....

      • example :
        topic title, taking place in NETHERLANDS wrote:
        03/02 Leng Tche, Despondency, Crimson Falls@ Panningen [NL]

        topic title, taking place in GERMANY wrote:
        10/02 Necrophagist, Misery Index, Origin, Emeth @ Essen [DE]

        topic title, taking place in BELGIUM (no tag) wrote:
        16/02 Sanitarium, Aetherium @ JH Babylon, Westmalle

      8 ) rules for the message body
      • at least mention all the names of the bands playing there
        ( this is vital for agenda search functions, or to generate a gig list for an individual band )
      • example
        message body, for the BELGIUM example above wrote:
        Sanitarium
        Aetherium
        ...

    Wrong date-format means your concert won't appear in any chronological overview. But it's nearly impossible to fail at that.
    Your topic can be locked for a couple of days if you make obvious mistakes.

////////////////// EASY AGENDA /////////// boring stuff...

IN SHORT :

Why post all your band concerts on DeathMetal.be

Post ONCE in subforum "1. Going to a Concert", and your concert automatically appears on 5 to 9 different places

1-5 : DeathMetal.be
screenshot of 3 first places
screenshot of 4th place
screenshot of 5th place

6-7 : Shiver-Records.com - this condition has to be fulfilled:
at least 1 band on the concert has to be signed @
Shiver Records or Rotten To The Core :

6th place of e.g.-concert, Shiver Records Site, Tourdates
7th place of e.g.-concert, Shiver Records Site PROFILE, below

8 : Horns-Up - this condition has to be fulfilled:
the show must take place in Belgium - no last minutes!

9 : All concerts in all countries with any bands are shown in ExtreemMetaal's concert agenda, thanks to our own Easy agenda.

PS : to quickly check what concerts of a band are already featured in the agenda, simply replace the word "Axamenta" in the link below:
http://forum.deathmetal.be/forum/agenda.php?search=Axamenta

-------
MORE IN-DEPTH :

Table of Contents :
  • STARTING ONE TOPIC, IT WILL APPEAR in 5 to 9 places
  • MARKING EVENTS AS PERSONAL EVENTS
  • HOW TO START A NEW TOPIC

-------

[list][*]STARTING ONE TOPIC, IT WILL APPEAR in 5 to 7 places

like other forums :

extras :

if at least 1 band of the concert is Shiver Records or Rotten To The Core :

if the concert takes place in Belgium:
  • 9) Horns-Up : http://www.deathmetal.be/horns-up

    So by just starting one topic, you get a maximum exposure for your concert.

    If you want to quickly check what gigs of your band are in the agenda :
    example bandname = Axamenta wrote:

    http://forum.deathmetal.be/forum/agenda.php?search=axamenta

    change "axamenta" by your bandname and see for yourself

    Last but not least, there's also the possibility to get these dates automatically on your homepage e.g. (att. : does NOT work with myspace )

    you can e-mail me if your band is interested ( uses <iframe> and CSS )

  • MARKING EVENTS AS PERSONAL EVENTS

      if you are logged in as user, you can mark events by using Easy Agenda.
      Simply check the concerts you think of attending, then scroll down the page and hit "submit changes"

      Marked events in the Easy Agenda are highlighted green
      Marked events on the Forum Index are also accentuated in the Easy Agenda panel
